In this role, you will provide operational support and lead incident response and management activities to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of Rogers wireline core network infrastructure. You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to meet established service level agreements for internal and external stakeholders while contributing to operational excellence and exceptional customer experience.\nWe are open to hire in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Burnby.\nWhat you will do:\nPerform technical and administrative activities required to maintain the highest levels of network availability and reliability through incident response, planned maintenance activities, and problem resolution.\n\nProvide 24x7 operational support for Rogers' national core IP networks, MPLS infrastructure and compute environments, ensuring the availability, stability, and reliability of critical network and service platforms. (Work shifts include days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.)\n\nDrive and manage core-related incidents to resolution, with a focus on impact mitigation and MTTR reduction.\n\nProvide support and function as a second-level escalation resource on reported incidents.\n\nCoordinate escalations both internally and externally during outage and degraded service events.\n\nLead network incident response and management activities, ensuring service restoration is achieved in accordance with established service level agreements.\n\nProactively improve and maintain network availability and reliability by analyzing and optimizing network performance.\n\nEngage vendors and carriers in troubleshooting activities as required.\n\nDevelop, document, and communicate Network Operations best practices and standards.\n\nProvide reports on network status, fault management, and utilization.\n\nWork alongside Network Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure standardization, reliability, and operational readiness of core network environments.\n\nProvide pre-sales technical advisory and participate in new product launches, with a focus on Service Assurance.\n\nPromote and represent Rogers in a positive and professional manner.\n\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nWhat you Bring:\nDegree in Telecommunications, Data Communications, Computer Networking, or an equivalent academic qualification.\n\nCCNA or CCNP Routing & Switching certification required; Service Provider certification is considered an asset.\n\nMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in IP Network Engineering and/or Network Operations.\n\nExtensive knowledge of routing and switching technologies within multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel platforms.\n\nAbility to thrive in a dynamic 24x7 operational environment.
