At our Taber facility we operate three (3) Power Boilers as well as two (2) Backpressure Turbines that are used to generate on-site power.\n\nWE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL:\nFollow Company Policies and adhere to safety standards and regulations;\nMonitor all processes and equipment;\nRespond to emergencies and upset conditions ensuring that established procedures are followed;\nPerform routine operating tasks (i.e. monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, etc.);\nPerform basic troubleshooting;\nPerform proper sampling as required;\nAssist in preparation of equipment for maintenance;\nCreate notifications to initiate equipment/unit repairs;\nPerform housekeeping duties and operational maintenance as assigned;\nBe willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule consisting of day, night, and weekends.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM:\nValid 2nd Class Steam Ticket in the province of Alberta;\nCommitment to work in a safe and efficient manner (adherence to Lock Out-Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hot Work and other applicable regulations and practices);\nHigh level of technical experience related to the operation of steel plants and water treatment equipment;\nMechanical aptitude/skills to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment;\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment;\nTroubleshooting/analytical/decision making skills;\nKnowledge of WHMIS, TDG, and OH&S regulations;\nBasic computer skills;\nExcellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others to perform all aspects of maintenance activities;\nStrong written and verbal communication skills;\nPlanning and management skills;\nConflict management abilities;\nAbility to make sound decisions;\nAbility to demonstrate strategic thinking;\nStrong sense of responsibility;\nResults and detail oriented;\nExcellent leadership, organizational, and motivational
