You’ll collaborate closely with Head of Design (Chris Zachary), CEO/Co-founder (Gabriel Stengel), and engineers who care deeply about building a great product. You will also help establish Rogo’s design culture, standards, and systems.\nWe believe that the product layer is critical to winning this market, and with that - creating a product that our users actually love is a massive opportunity to differentiate in institutional finance.\nWhy Design Matters for the Future of Finance\nWhat You Will Need\nWe don’t require any formal experience, education, or even knowledge of the finance world. What we are looking for is enthusiasm & evidence of caring about solving very difficult problems with design & product. You should feel a compulsive need to make things, and a rabid curiosity to learn and try new things. Side projects, prototypes, rough figmas, experiments all go a long way to demonstrate this enthusiasm.\nThoughtful care and attention to detail for visual polish and delight\n\nA love for shipping at high velocity\n\nSystems thinker who has worked on open-ended problems, not just point solution feature flows. Understand the complexities and challenges of designing a flexible system across a platform.\n\nKnow when to be scrappy & when to spend time on polish.\n\nGet into the weeds with engineers and understand technical constraints. Ability to code in React/tailwindcss is not required, but very helpful. You should be familiar & comfortable in html/css and ready to learn React/Tailwind\n\nA natural prototyper: don’t just design static mocks. Try it and see out it feels is one of the best ways to design and iterate for uncertainty. Help us get to “try it” as quickly as possible.. Use AI tools, Figma, code, or pencil & paper - whatever fidelity is needed for each scenario.\n\nAbility to maintain multiple projects and prioritize effectively\n\nExperience in product design at startup\n\nBonus\nFrontend development experience (React + TailwindCSS)\n\nExpeirence in designing B2B / commerical enviroment\n\nUnderstanding of the financial services landscape (investemnt banking, PE, hedge funds)\n\nLocated in NYC or ability to relocate\n\nWho You Are\nYou thrive in fast-paced environments.
