You’ll own projects from first client conversation through production-ready tooling and mentor fellow designers. If you love solving 3-D design problems, enjoy working directly with customers, and want a role where your expertise shapes the work of an entire team, we’d like to meet you.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and Engineering\nDesign all models using 3-D parametric solid modeling software and apply machining code to each design\nCreate engineering drawings of blisters for customer approval\nTest and refine the fit and functionality of every blister you design\nCreate 2-D Mylars of all models for production layouts\nDesign and manufacture 3-D printed production aids and second-level die-cut assemblies\nOperate the Cyclone 3-D digitizing machine and duplicate customer products manually when needed\nProvide complete design input to meet all part requirements\nProject and Client Management\nManage all projects independently, from concept through completion\nMeet with clients to discuss project needs and provide design guidance to customers, Sales, and Customer Service\nAttend meetings as needed\nLeadership and Team Support\nInstruct and mentor other designers in design and project management\nConduct software demonstrations and assist with plant tours for customers and new employees\nOrder supplies for 3-D printers\nExperience and Education\nAt least 5 years of relevant design experience\nAssociate’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nCoursework in general engineering and machine shop practices\nIndustry experience; thermoforming and tooling design experience strongly preferred\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MasterCam\nStrong math skills, including trigonometry, algebra, and geometry\nStrong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook\nProfessional Skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nProven leadership, organization, and project management abilities\nSound judgment in following written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and solving problems with multiple variables\nA collaborative approach and the ability to thrive on a team\nWhat We Offer\nSupport and guidance from experienced manufacturing professionals\nCareer growth and advancement opportunities\nCompetitive compensation\nComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings options\nPaid time off and company holidays\nA collaborative, safety-focused work environment\nCompensation for this position is up to $90,000 per year.
