Position requires technical and administrative supervision.\nResponsibilities\nApplies principles and techniques of acquired experience to accomplish tasks\nProvides guidance to draftsmen\nProduces and guides production of mechanical drawings for construction purposes such as equipment arrangement plans, section views, cable tray plans, switchgear building layouts, and installation details, grounding details, conduit details, foundation details, and steel details\nProduces electrical schematic, wiring, and interconnection diagrams\nCalculates, quantifies, specifies, and controls quality of material\nProvides adaptations to common designs\nUnderstands common industry practices\nWorks effectively in a team environment\nReports to team supervisor\nDesired Characteristics and Qualifications\nStrong interpersonal skills\nSharp communication and writing abilities\nCreative minded\nSolid work ethic\nTeam oriented\nResponsive and adaptive to ad hoc work tasks\nBasic understanding of power system protection and control systems\nEfficient mechanical design capabilities\nApplies common practices to designs\nUnderstands constructability of design\nUnderstands field concepts, practices, and procedures\nProficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
