Based in Houston, Texas, the company leverages deep subject-matter expertise and an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium- and high-voltage electrical infrastructure for clients locally, nationally, and internationally.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Structural Engineer II is an experienced engineering professional responsible for performing\nstructural analysis, design, and evaluation of substation and utility infrastructure projects with limited supervision. This role supports project execution, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and provides technical guidance to junior engineers and designers while ensuring compliance with applicable industry codes and company standards.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPerform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, and foundation systems for substation, BESS and utility projects.\nPrepare engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, and specifications.\nDevelop structural designs in accordance with ASCE, AISC, ACI, NESC, and client requirements.\nCoordinate with civil, electrical, and project management teams to ensure integrated project delivery.\nReview drawings, calculations, and models prepared by junior engineers and designers.\nSupport construction activities by responding to RFIs, evaluating field conditions, and recommending solutions.\nConduct site visits, field investigations, and structural assessments as required.\nAssist in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and engineering estimates.\nProvide technical mentoring and guidance to Engineer I staff and designers.\nIdentify design improvements that enhance safety, constructability, and cost efficiency.\nMaintain project documentation and ensure compliance with quality procedures.\nPerform other job-related duties as requested by management.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or other relevant degree program, from an ABET accredited program is required.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain PE within one year of hire.\nFive (5) to eight (8) years of structural design experience is required;
