Title: Financial Controller\n\nOrganisation: Roke Telkom\n\nDuty Station: Kampala, Uganda\n\nAbout Organisation:\n\nRoke Telkom is a Uganda-based telecommunications company that has been fully licensed since 2006 by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) as a Public Service Provider (capacity Resale, Voice & Data) and Public Infrastructure Provider.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nPrepare and review IFS-compliant statutory financial statements.\n\nManage tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Excise Duty, and Corporate Income Tax.\n\nOversee Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.\n\nMonitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange exposure.\n\nStrengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.\n\nLead, coach, and develop Treasury and Accounts Payable teams.\n\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n\nProfessional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).\n\nICPAU membership or eligibility.\n\nStrong ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.\n\n10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.\n\nMinimum 3 years in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.\n\nExperience with IFRS reporting, tax compliance, URA audits, treasury, accounts payable, and external
