This will include the evaluation and confirmation that the P&PS will be safe to operate under the constraints of the Air Vehicle and its environment, plus the assessment of mission and in-flight performance for the Air Vehicle. This role will cover the full life-span of the products, from initial conception and development, through in-service operation to out-of-service.\nWhat you will be doing:\nAircraft Performance engineers will interface with Customers, Government Agencies and Aircraft Manufacturers in order to represent the interests of the propulsion system at the platform level.\nProvide Rolls-Royce with a better understanding of the platform requirements and operation.\nTo convey platform operation in something meaningful to the propulsion system (e.g. mission generation / analysis)\nWill provide Rolls-Royce with independent advice on all aspects of Air Vehicle performance and behaviour for a variety of airframe designs, applications and propulsion system architectures.\nTo perform assessments of future and current platforms to provide a view on the competitiveness of our products and those of competitors.\nTo maintain and develop toolsets, models and data in accordance with the needs of the Project and the Performance function.\nTo demonstrate an ability to continuously improve understanding and practices and share within the business.\n\nWho we’re looking for:\nYou will be educated to degree level in a STEM subject and/ or have experience in a relevant engineering environment (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical or Controls). Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.
