You will perform technical analysis and verify products, systems and components throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring robust engineering solutions are delivered.\nWhat you will be doing:\nBeing accountable for the execution of the sub-system design and integration process through APQP, coordinating the integration of wider team activities to achieve programme objectives.\nDesigning sub-systems using Systems Engineering principles, including Robust Design, Risk Management (FMEA) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to deliver optimum product and sub-system solutions.\nSupporting the transition to model-based reusable product lines at system, product system and component level.\nCreating and gaining approval for sub-system requirements, ensuring effective flow-down of technical requirements to Component Design and Functional teams.\nEnsuring the technical attributes of the sub-system design meet agreed requirements on behalf of the Technical Lead and Product System Lead.\nGenerating sub-system concepts that comply with product requirements and sub-system strategy.\nOwning functional and physical interface management across the sub-system.\nWorking collaboratively with extended, multi-disciplinary teams to integrate technical activities across product systems, sub-systems and commodity functions.\nDriving continuous improvement through lessons learned, knowledge capture and process development.\nPosition Qualifications:\nDegree qualified in Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience.\nGood understanding of design engineering processes.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data from a variety of sources, including experience in data handling and statistical processing tools.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.\nAbility to deal with ambiguity and influence key stakeholders to deliver integrated engineering solutions.\nPreferred Requirements:\nKnowledge of Systems Engineering principles, APQP, FMEA and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).\nExperience in sub-system design, integration and requirements management.\nUnderstanding of interface management and technical integration across complex engineering programmes.\nExperience supporting continuous improvement, knowledge capture and engineering process development.\nAbility to work effectively within cross-functional and multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a hybrid environment.\nOur vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future.
