And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.\nPosition Summary\nAs a Rolls-Royce Development Engineer for AE 2100 and AE 1107, your main tasks will be to maintain the configuration of development engines and rigs, support rebuild of those engines and rigs where appropriate, conduct test planning, and support engine and rig testing.\nWhat you will be doing\nThe Development Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient configuration control for developmental (test) assets to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. This is an integration role where the individual will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to successfully develop robust, verified engineering solutions against robust validated customer requirements.\nInterface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers and partners.\nManage the unique Bill of Materials for each development engine.\nWork with the budget owners to upgrade each engine toward the production standard as budget allows.\nPlan for refurbishment of development engines and rigs.\nDevelop requirements regarding Manufacturing/Installation/Test and Commissioning from the engineering teams.\nDefine configuration hardware requirements to satisfy verification activities, for example a specific compressor bleed configuration.\nCoordinate and define instrumentation for test engines and rigs.\nBe the point of contact with the project to support and coach the team regarding Systems Engineering, Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviors within the project.\nBecome the Subject Matter Expert on test AE configurations, engine and rig assets, test schedules, and test planning.\nundefined\nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience OR,\nMaster’s Degree in Engineering OR,\nJD/PhD\nIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen\nPreferred Requirements:\nExperience with planning and executing gas turbine engine and rig testing\nGood communication, listening skills, with demonstrated ability to network and influence people across different departments to achieve the best outcome for the company\nAttention to detail; managing down to an individual nut or bolt in a Bill of Material of hundreds of parts\nDemonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on a multifunctional engineering project team\nWorking knowledge of SAP, XFRACAS, and Teamcenter\nExperience with technical gated review processes, such as Test Department gates and Design Technical Approval gates\nAbility to find information across multiple sources (for example, illustrated parts catalogs, manuals)\nCritical problem-solving skills\nExperience interfacing with customers on technical program issues\nKnowledge of commercial/military engine certification\nRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
