Delivering end-to-end electro-mechanical solutions, preparing technical proposals, performing engineering calculations, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting tendering, design, and execution of generator and power infrastructure projects across APAC markets efficiently.\nWhat you will be doing:\nResponsible for all mechanical/electrical related technical solution engineering for major Data Center Projects in APAC.\nDevelop and manage complete scope from initiation to onsite delivery of mechanical systems related to the diesel genset enclosure.\nTendering Matters\nWork closely with sales to define the technical scope.\nReview/clarify customer’s specifications & tender documents.\nReview and finalize the C/D/E document.\nProvide the technical specifications and define the scope of supply for the equipment.\nCoordinate with factory and local suppliers to harmonize the scope of supply.\nWork with suppliers/contractors to quote for the equipment and obtain proposals timely.\nSolution Engineering Matters\nDefine and develop electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures aligned with project specifications.\nDeliver end-to-end design solutions, including electrical/automation and mechanical designs, supported by detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nPerform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to verify designs and ensure optimal equipment and supplier selection.\nEnsure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.\nLeverage engineering tools, technical databases, and factory standards to deliver high-quality, standardized solutions.\nSupport project lifecycle through technical issue resolution, knowledge management, and delivery of presentations and training to stakeholders.\nOrder Execution\nReview and approve all technical documentation (drawings, schematics, P&IDs, datasheets) to ensure compliance with customer specifications.\nDefine and finalize equipment scope, manage procurement alignment, and raise purchase requisitions.\nProvide technical support and troubleshoot issues across electrical, automation, and mechanical systems during project execution.\nDrive continuous improvement through design reviews and lessons learned to enhance system performance and efficiency.\nOther Matters\nSupport procurement in supplier development.\nUpdate oneself with the technical developments of the market and internal products.\nTravel overseas on business, when required.\nSpecial assignment from time to time.\nPosition requirements:\nDiploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics engineering or relevant disciplines.\nProven experience in the diesel engine/generator industry or electrical industry, min. 5 years with track record of successfully delivered projects and solutions. \nDeep expertise in either electrical or mechanical genset systems (automation, protection, cooling, fuel, ventilation), with the ability to integrate cross-disciplinary knowledge into optimized genset enclosure designs; complementary competency in the other domain is an advantage.\nStrong capability in engineering calculations across electrical (e.g., load flow, short circuit) and/or mechanical systems (e.g., sizing, thermal/airflow performance).\nProven track record in conceptualizing and delivering complex electro-mechanical solutions, with a focus on performance optimization and cost efficiency.\nProficient in developing and reviewing technical documentation (e.g., schematics, wiring diagrams, system layouts), with deep specialization in either electrical or mechanical engineering, and functional competency in the other discipline; experience in data centers, switchgear, and power protection systems is an added advantage.\nExcellent team player with an open mindset, collaborative spirit, and exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.\nWillingness to travel for onsite jobs when needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet project requirements and deadlines effectively.\nProactive and positive attitude.\nProficient in English language.\nPreferred requirements:\nUnderstanding of Asian cultures and business practices.\nProficient in 2D/3D CAD software.\nAbout mtu Power Systems\nPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
