As the Engineering Manager you will lead and play a pivotal role in forming and developing a team to drive the delivery of cutting-edge facilities in the manufacture of nuclear fuel.\nWhy join Rolls-Royce?\nAt Rolls-Royce we are proud to be a business that has truly helped to shape the modern world and are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.\nBy joining Rolls-Royce, you'll have the opportunity to work on world-class solutions, supported by a culture that believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture.\nThis is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our business and, as the Engineering Manager you will be leading and developing a team, collaborating and working with customers and partners; fully focussing on driving the delivery of the design for a new nuclear facility.\nWhat you will be doing:\nContribute to the development of a new operational business unit and lead the strategy for the new nuclear infrastructure to support the product execution.\nAssist in the design and development of the structure for an organisation dedicated to the manufacture of nuclear fuel and support the delivery of the organisation.\nOwn and proactively drive the design of the new facilities, including the supporting site infrastructure.\ntaking inputs from the engineering teams who are developing the processes and delivering a safe and efficient facility that meets these requirements.\nProactively aiding engineering teams in the development of appropriate solutions and ensuring all relevant options are considered.\nEnsure that efficient solutions are reached that comply with all legislative requirements.\nPromote a pragmatic blend of innovative approaches and tried-and-tested methods to aid in the delivery of a facility that is demonstrably safe.\nMaintain a constant focus on safety at all times, ensuring that all engineering solutions prioritise safety and compliance.\nundefined\nPosition Qualifications:\nProven experience in engineering management, preferably in the nuclear industry or a related safety critical field.\nStrong knowledge of legislative requirements and compliance standards in the nuclear sector or other similarly challenging fields.\nExperience in the design and construction of new facilities in which hazardous processes can be safely carried out is essential\nExcellent project management and organisational skills.\nProactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.\nStrong communication and team leadership skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.\nRelevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.\nTo work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.\nDue to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality.
