The role provides accounting expertise and analytical support to business units across regions, maintaining compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and internal capitalization policies.\nRole Description\nThis position manages fixed asset processes, supporting capitalization, disposals, transfers, and reporting. The Financial Control - Fixed Assets Process Lead collaborates closely with project teams, finance controllers, and auditors to ensure accuracy of asset data and continuous improvement of FA processes.\nKey Duties & Responsibilities:\nBusiness Partnering & Advisory\nBe the go-to person for global fixed asset inquiries, offering accounting support and guidance to business units especially in case of Capital Program Planning / investment Meetings.\nProvide advice on capitalization criteria, asset lives, and componentization standards to ensure compliance and clarity.\nWork closely with project accounting teams to transition Assets Under Construction (AUC) into fixed assets, ensuring everything runs smoothly.\nAsset Creation & Capitalization\nCreate and manage asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax policies.\nVerify master data and link assets to the correct cost centre, location, and useful life.\nAsset Retirement Obligations (ARO)\nRecord and adjust asset retirement obligations and related liabilities.\nEnsure proper depreciation and accounting treatment for AROs.\nFixed Asset Accounting & Reporting\nValidate asset creation, disposals, and transfers for accuracy and compliance.\nProcess depreciation and amortization in line with regulations.\nPrepare and analyse fixed asset reports, including additions, disposals, and AUC.\nSub-ledger Close & Reconciliation\nSupport monthly and year-end sub-ledger close activities.\nReconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger with the General Ledger and resolve discrepancies.\nContinuous Improvement & Governance\nLook for ways to automate and standardize processes across its competency areas to make things more efficient.\nTake part in system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for fixed asset functionalities, ensuring changes meet operational needs.\nEnsure policies are followed and contribute to updating governance documentation to reflect best practices.\nContinuous Improvement & System Enhancements\nIdentify process improvement opportunities and support automation.\nParticipate in system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).\nQualifications & Experience\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; pursuing or holding professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.\nExperience:\n5+ years in fixed asset accounting and/ or financial accounting.\nSAP FI-AA, MS Excel (Advanced), asset reporting tools, strong understanding of IFRS/local GAAP for FA, analytical and stakeholder management skills.\nExpertise in complex transactions (impairments, retirements, transfers), financial reporting, and disclosures (capital commitments, leases)\nBusiness partnering skills for investment committee support, including managing senior stakeholder meetings and preparing scheme documents\nSAP S/4HANA \nSkills & Competencies\nProblem solving \nOrganisation expertise: \nAccountability: \nStrong Stakeholder and communication skills \nBenefits\nPrivate healthcare and group life insurance\nAnnual bonus\nmyBenefit platform/subsidy for Multisport cards\nInternet and electricity allowance for remote work\nIncreased funding for the Employee Capital Plans (PPK) program; Rolls Royce\nSp. z o.o. contributes 3% to this program\nAdditional vacation days based on length of service with the employer\nHybrid work model (2 days in the office / 3 days from home)\nWork in a modern office located in the Krakow centre - the Unity Tower (ul.
