The role partners closely with global procurement teams, subsidiaries and functional stakeholders to deliver long-term procurement value for Singapore and across APAC.\nThis is a key expert role requiring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management capability, supplier negotiation expertise, and experience driving procurement initiatives.\nWhat you will be doing:\nMarket Intelligence & Procurement Strategy\nMonitor relevant market trends, supplier developments and commercial risks to support informed procurement decisions.\nCollaborate with global procurement teams and contribute to global sourcing initiatives and procurement programmes.\nIdentify suitable suppliers and invite them to tender\nReview suppliers’ capability while aiming for long-term cooperation\nEstablish procurement alternatives and open competitive situations\nEvaluate and select suppliers of indirect material includes consumables, subcontractors of operational or project orientation purpose, and logistics & freight forwarding.\nPre-audit of suppliers and negotiate contracts and delivery terms for local purpose\nStrategic Sourcing & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify suitable procurement solutions.\nConduct sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, commercial comparisons, negotiations, and recommendations.\nDevelop and implement sourcing approaches that balance cost, quality, compliance, service, sustainability, and operational risk.\nSupplier Management & Commercial Negotiation\nDevelop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers.\nLead commercial discussions and negotiations covering pricing, service levels, contractual terms, and other supplier conditions within the scope of responsibility.\nMonitor supplier performance and follow up on agreed KPIs.\nSupport the resolution and escalation of procurement or supplier-related operational issues.\nContract, Compliance & Risk Management\nConduct contract lifecycle activities for suppliers within the scope of responsibility.\nEnsure supplier contracts and procurement activities comply with Rolls-Royce governance, legal, commercial and compliance requirements.\nSupport audit activities and maintain appropriate procurement documentation and controls.\nSupport business continuity planning for critical suppliers and procurement categories.\nProcurement Operations & Continuous Improvement\nDrive practical improvements to procurement processes and ways of working. Monitor procurement spend, savings performance and budget compliance within the scope of responsibility.\n Share good practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.\nPosition requirements:\nDegree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.\nSeveral years of experience in procurement, preferably within a project-oriented and technical environment.\nDemonstrated experience in driving supplier search & development, relationship building, technical requirement management, commercial negotiations, capacity planning & securing supplier commitments.\nGood understanding of value analysis, cost engineering and strategic sourcing methodologies.\nExcellent analytical abilities combined with a structured, solution-oriented approach to problem solving.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international environments.\nProficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.\nWillingness and ability to travel internationally, primarily within Asia Pacific. \nAbout mtu Power Systems\nPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
