{"id":3877329,"url":"https://alion.io/job/rolls-royce-inventory-controllers","title":"Inventory Controllers","company":{"id":4431609,"name":"Rolls-Royce","domain":"rollsroyce.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/rollsroyce-com","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":{"grade":"A","score":100,"open_postings":8,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":14,"computed_at":"2026-11-07T05:47:08Z"}},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"hybrid","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Derby, United Kingdom"],"countries":["GB"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-11-06T16:55:56Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-11-06","last_verified_at":"2026-11-06T22:32:25Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":0,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":0},"description":"Job Description\nInventory Controller - Used Material - Aftermarket Operations\nDerby - Hybrid - 3 days on site\nFull time\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Controller - Used Material - Aftermarket Operations to join our team in Derby.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for managing the transition of unserviceable material to serviceable material across the network, supporting parts trading activities to ensure the availability of critical materials and maintaining inventory at agreed levels.\nYou will work closely with multiple stakeholders to coordinate Major Events Committee actions, liaise with overhaul bases and repair vendors to support capacity and parts throughput, and ensure effective inventory management across Aftermarket Operations.\nWhat you will be doing:\nCoordinating with operational teams across overhaul bases and repair vendors, understanding and addressing challenges and opportunities within the HOOS to SUM Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.\nWorking within a make-to-stock environment, collaborating with stakeholders to optimise operational performance and support business objectives.\nEngaging with managed service providers, setting clear expectations and working collaboratively to deliver against agreed plans.\nManaging key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring performance against targets and identifying opportunities for improvement.\nIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and inventory management.\nEnsuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of the overall HOOS to SUM plan and coordinating required actions across supporting teams.\nLeading supplier engagement activities to support material availability and operational delivery.\nPosition Qualifications:\nExperience within Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), supply chain operations and/or Planning and Control.\nRelevant qualifications or practical experience in operational or supply chain planning, including the use of enterprise planning systems.\nAbility to prioritise activities and work effectively both independently and within a team, maintaining a strong customer focus.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience developing and maintaining relationships across operational teams and multiple business functions, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to understand and communicate technical information and contribute to the resolution of complex technical issues.\nStrong problem-solving, decision-making and strategic thinking skills.\nAbility to work effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.\nExperience using SAP and Maximo systems.\nPreferred Requirements:\nKnowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes, procedures and relevant airworthiness regulations.\nWe offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
