As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.\nWhat you will be doing:\nProvide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arisings.\nLead Investigation of operational issues to establish root cause\nPredict future safety and reliability performance based on failure rates, adopting statistical techniques to support Numerial Risk Assessment, Parametric Distribution and fly forward analysis.\nIdentify cost reduction opportunities by reviewing and maintaining life cycle engineering policies and any associated maintenance planning documentation.\nManage any issues that effect the Maturity, Lifecycle Cost, Reliability and Maintainability and maintain Design Intent.\nProvide lifecycle technical data (build/in-service/decommisioning) and model/support modelling of through life performance, deterioration mechanisms and service attributes to create and maintain time on platform prediction, identify opportunities for optimization and support the generation of the Service Operation Validation Strategy.\nPrepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports) to platform provider, regulators, customers, internal stakeholder.\nLead and integrate Health Monitoring system requirements.\nIdentify requirements for new Health Monitoring System or capability.\nEnsure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders. Where delegated, act as the Technical Authority providing assurance on build, commissioning and maintenance activities.\nGather in-service data and carry out continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience activities, feeding back into future programmes and product design teams.\nWho we’re looking for:\nAt Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. They are the fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.\nExperience within the UK Submarines Enterprise (e.g. Navy, MOD, Prime Industry Partner etc)\nEngineering or Numerical degree (or equivalent with experience)\nKnowledge of components/ systems functionality and numerical methods\nExperience of working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous\nFamiliarity of the in service operation environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements\nExperience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution\nExperience in support/lead cross-functional teams e.g. specialists, suppliers, customers, partners.\nExperience developing and challenging maintenance requirements.\nSafety Case experience.\nInvestigative/Questioning mindset,\nExperience with Azure DevOps,\nReport writing.\nWe are an equal opportunities employer.
