You will work in a cross functional team, with manufacturing emphasis, to achieve procurement objectives. In this role, you will travel up to 30% domestically.\nWhat you will be doing:\nProvide manufacturing input to design engineering to assure component designs are produceable & facilitate design for manufacturer supplier events\nRepresent manufacturing perspective regarding component sourcing strategy\nWork with Procurement & Quality organization to stand up new suppliers\nDevelop & conduct supplier manufacturing readiness and technical risk assessments\nProvide support to supplier with respect to quality requirements (APQP, FAIR, PPAP; Drawing Alteration Requests, SABRe)\nPerform supplier hardware delivery source inspections\nCreate the environment for continuous improvement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice\nBasic Requirements:\nAssociate degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 4+ years of experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, OR\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 2+ years of experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, OR\nMaster’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Business, OR\nJD/PhD in Engineering, Technology or Business, OR\n6+ years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing in lieu of a degree\nIn order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen\nPreferred Requirements:\nExperience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma Black Belt\nStrong understanding of SABRe, FAIR, PPAP requirements\nExperience operating within a global manufacturing environment\nControls and hydromechanical component manufacturing experience with certification processes\nExperience in robust design methodologies and design of manufacturing tooling, gaging, and fixtures\nDemonstrated experience working with suppliers to delivering world class manufacturing performance\nOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
