The Manufacturing Services Technician - Mechatronics is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment located in production or assembly & test facilities\nWhat you will be doing:\nPerform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required.\nUtilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance.\nAnalyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance\nCollect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required.\nRead and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics\nIdentify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Research and implement improvements.\nSuggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the electrical installation / maintenance strategy.\nCoordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.\nCoordinate their activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.\nWork with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment performance to standard.\nWork alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required.\nConsistently perform asset maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard.\nSupport the effective induction of new team members and support cross-training of other team members.\nUtilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.\nAble to process Work Orders and pull reports from the Computerised Maintenance Management System- Safely operate site specific equipment as require med with appropriate training\nPosition Qualifications:\nA time-served apprenticeship, at a NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience and qualifications.\nPreferred Requirements:\nBasic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation.\nBasic IT literacy\nUnderstanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations\nRegional Benefits:\nGenerous Annual Leave\nRetirement Savings through the Rolls-Royce Retirement Savings Trust\nGroup Life Assurance provides for a lump sum benefit if you die whilst employed by Rolls-Royce\nGroup Income Protection provides an income in the event that you are unable to work due to illness or injury\nYour Shares: Matched is a simple way to own Rolls-Royce shares and invest in our future, together.
