In this role you will be responsible for and have knowledge in problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, systems & product systems; performing technical analysis; and verifying products, systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.\nWhat you will be doing:\nUndertake system detailed design and development through gated reviews, evaluate compliance to customer requirements, support configuration management, and assist in factory and shipboard installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.\nSupport engineering analyses, development of technical specifications, selection of key system components, and creation of 3D/2D drawings and structural, piping, and assembly drawings. \nProvide technical inputs for logistics analyses and technical support documentation and provide engineering technical support to customers, suppliers, and field service personnel.\nManage configuration and control change for components, subsystems, and systems, including design documentation and data deliverables. Prepare standardization documentation.\nEvaluate and resolve design/manufacturing/test conflicts, including ownership of, for example: root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), and Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs).\nSupport Customer interactions by providing information and assistance on a range of topics\nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR\nMaster’s degree in mechanical engineering, OR\nJD/PhD in Mechanical Engineering\nTo be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen\nPreferred Requirements:\nTechnical writing ability / experience\nPrevious experience system or component design\nPrevious experience in the aerospace industry\nPrevious experience with military customers\nPrevious experience with new product or system requirements and design\nPrevious experience manufacturing and supply chain\nPrevious experience with customer communication and requirements\nStrong Technical background\nStrong Teamwork capability\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working with all aspects of product design - customers, suppliers, other engineering specialties, shop floor personnel, etc.\nOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
