As a Service Engineer for the Technical Help Desk, you will play a critical role in supporting airlines and operators worldwide by providing technical guidance and rapid solutions for in-service engine events. You will work at the centre of a global network, collaborating with customers, engineering teams, maintenance providers and regulatory authorities to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of our engines.\nSafety is our highest priority. You keep the fleet flying by playing a key role in ensuring we deliver on our customer promise while upholding Rolls-Royce’s world-class quality standards.\nWorking conditions\nWorking a 12-hour shift rotation of four days on and four days off, you will enjoy a predictable schedule that provides extended blocks of consecutive time off. Combined with an attractive shift allowance and additional paid breaks, this working pattern offers both flexibility and a strong work-life balance.\nKey Accountabilities\nProvide technical support to customers, operators and maintenance organisations regarding aero engine-related issues.\nLead investigation of technical cases from initial assessment through to resolution, balancing urgent operational demands with longer-term investigations.\nManagement of known and potential safety issues (SAR & RT) and appropriate involvement in safety boards as defined in Safety Management Plan.\nEvaluate technical data, maintenance records and engineering documentation to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.\nAct as a key interface between customers, Engineering, Repair Operations and external stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations and internal safety requirements.\nPrepare and review technical documentation required by customers and aviation authorities.\nKey Experiences and Qualifications\nDegree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical qualification supported by significant industry experience.\nStrong understanding of aero engine systems, mechanical components and maintenance practices.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills and readiness to inquire information in an international and cross-functional environment.\nAbility to analyse complex technical data and make sound engineering judgements.\nFamiliarity of the fast-paced in-service operation environment and the ability to fulfil several tasks at the same time\nStrong safety mindset with a commitment to regulatory compliance and operational excellence.\nFluent English language skills (minimum B2, ideally C1) with strong technical vocabulary.\nJob Category\nEngineering for ServicesPosting Date\n12 Okt. 2026;
