Our Small Modular Reactor programme provides a British solution to a global energy challenge, creating a new generation of low-carbon energy while supporting economic growth, innovation and highly skilled careers.\nThe Project Management Office (PMO) plays a vital role in turning our ambitions into reality. Working across complex programmes and projects, the team provides the governance, controls and assurance needed to support successful delivery at pace and scale.\nIn this context, we are looking for a Change Controller to join our PMO team, reporting to a Change Control Manager or Senior Project Controls Manager. This is a pivotal role, helping to ensure that change across our programmes is understood, governed, implemented and communicated effectively, enabling confident decision-making and successful project delivery.\nWe’ll need you to:\nSupport the delivery of our change control framework, ensuring consistent application of processes, governance and standards across projects and programmes.\nCoordinate integrated impact assessments, working with stakeholders across engineering, commercial, procurement, finance, risk and project controls functions.\nPrepare high-quality governance materials, change packs and decision-ready information to support boards, reviews and approval processes.\nDrive discipline, transparency and continuous improvement across change control activities, ensuring approved changes are accurately reflected across project baselines and reporting.\nAs you can see, this is a highly visible role where you'll bring strong collaboration skills, a structured approach to problem-solving and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable outcomes.\nWe’re looking for:\nA degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience within project controls, PMO, programme management, change control or a related discipline.\nExperience supporting change control activities within complex project, programme, infrastructure, engineering or manufacturing environments.\nStrong understanding of change management processes, impact assessments, governance, approvals, baseline control and decision traceability.\nWorking knowledge of project controls disciplines including schedule, cost, risk, reporting, estimating and performance management, alongside experience using project controls, workflow or reporting tools.\nLocation\nWe offer hybrid working arrangements and expect regular attendance at one of our Rolls-Royce SMR locations in either Manchester, Derby or Warrington.
