As our business continues to evolve, we are strengthening how security is embedded across Enterprise, Engineering, Manufacturing and Programme Delivery activities.\nIn this context, we're looking for a Cyber Security Architect to provide security architecture leadership across a diverse technology landscape. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Programme Delivery, Digital & IT and Cyber Security teams, you will help shape secure-by-design solutions that support the delivery of one of the UK's most ambitious engineering and industrialisation programmes.\nThis is a highly influential role that combines technical leadership, architectural governance and strategic engagement to ensure technology decisions align with business objectives, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.\nWe'll need you to:\nLead security architecture activities across Enterprise, Engineering, Manufacturing and Programme Delivery initiatives.\n\nInfluence business and technology decisions to ensure solutions are secure by design from concept through delivery.\n\nDevelop and maintain security architecture standards, patterns and reference architectures that support consistent and scalable delivery.\n\nProvide architecture assurance, threat modelling and design governance across strategic programmes and technology initiatives.\n\nCollaborate with business, engineering, manufacturing and technology stakeholders to align security architecture with organisational objectives.\n\nSupport the secure adoption of new technologies, platforms and ways of working whilst balancing business, customer and regulatory requirements.\n\nAs you can see, this is a high-impact role where you'll bring a collaborative mindset, architectural leadership and strong communication skills, as well as:\n\nEssential skills\nSignificant experience delivering security architecture across complex business and technology environments.\n\nExperience designing secure solutions across cloud, enterprise and integrated technology platforms.\n\nExperience with Azure and/or AWS environments.\n\nProven ability to influence technology strategy, shape architectural direction and provide governance across multiple initiatives.\n\nStrong understanding of security architecture principles, enterprise architecture concepts and secure-by-design approaches.\n\nExperience engaging senior stakeholders and collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.\n\nBeneficial qualifications include BCS Architecture certifications, CISSP or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.\n\nWhat's in it for you\nYou'll be joining a growing organisation that values innovation, transparency and technical leadership, with opportunities to shape the secure foundations of a nationally significant engineering and manufacturing programme.\nYou'll influence how security is embedded within future engineering, manufacturing and digital capabilities, working alongside experts who are helping to deliver a new generation of clean energy technology.\nWe anticipate a salary of £69,000 - £90,600 dependent on the skills, values and experience you bring.\nWe also offer excellent benefits including:\nBonus: Performance-related bonus of up to 12.5%\n\nBenefits Allowance: £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package\n\nPension: 12% employer and 6% employee contributions\n\nHolidays: 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days\n\nPrivate Medical Insurance: BUPA single cover healthcare\n\nLife Assurance: 6x pensionable pay\n\n£250 one-off payment for home office purchases\n\nPay Range:\n£60,000.00-\n£78,750.00\nWhy Join Us?\nYou’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation.
