As we progress towards deployment, we're building a world-class programme team capable of delivering one of the UK's most ambitious engineering and infrastructure projects.\nThe Programme Management function sits at the heart of this journey, bringing together engineering, procurement, construction, commercial and regulatory activities to deliver complex programmes safely, efficiently and successfully. As part of this team, you'll play a key role in developing the plans, schedules and estimates that will underpin delivery of the GBE-N programme.\nWe're looking for a Project Manager - Schedule & Estimate (GBE-N) to lead the development and coordination of programme schedules and cost estimates for the GBE-N programme. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll work across multiple disciplines, supply chain partners and customer stakeholders to deliver robust planning and estimating solutions that support critical programme decisions and future project delivery.\nWe'll need you to:\nLead the development, integration and maintenance of programme schedules and cost estimates across a complex, multi-year infrastructure programme.\nCoordinate inputs from engineering, procurement, commercial and construction teams to develop realistic and deliverable programme plans.\nIdentify and manage dependencies, interfaces, risks and critical path activities to support informed decision-making and programme governance.\nWork closely with internal teams, supply chain partners and customer stakeholders to align schedules, estimates and programme objectives.\nLead and develop a team of cost and planning professionals, providing guidance, coaching and project management oversight.\nDrive continuous improvement in planning, estimating, reporting and project controls processes.\nThis role will suit an experienced project professional who enjoys working across complex programmes, can interpret large volumes of information and is capable of bringing structure, clarity and focus to strategic planning activities.\nWhat we're looking for\nWe know that great candidates don't always meet every requirement. If you feel you meet around 75% of what's outlined below, we'd still love to hear from you.\nA technical, engineering, construction or project management background, or significant experience delivering complex projects in a technical environment.\nA recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, or equivalent experience managing complex engineering or infrastructure programmes.\nExperience developing and managing schedules, budgets and forecasts within large-scale projects or programmes.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple teams and levels of an organisation.\nExperience leading project teams and mentoring project professionals.\nKnowledge of project controls, risk management, contract management and programme governance.\nExperience using planning and project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Power BI, Power Apps or similar platforms.\nExperience in highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, energy, defence, major infrastructure or construction would be beneficial.\nData analytics, estimating and cost control experience would be advantageous.\nLocation\nThis role can be based at any Rolls-Royce SMR location, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available. Travel to customer, supplier and project locations will be required as business needs dictate.\nWhat's in it for you?\nThe salary for this role is £50,600 - £66,500, dependent on the skills, experience and values you bring.
