This is more than just a job; this is a legacy.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a skilled SAP functional specialist to join our team to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical implementation and business needs. Their responsibilities encompass various stages of the programme lifecycle. You will be involved in a multi-year digital transformation, implementation, upgrade and support of SAP software solutions, reviewing the design proposals from third party consultants. Understanding business requirements and the configuration of the SAP solution to align with those requirements. Providing ongoing support and recommendations for improvements for the system. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of SAP modules, excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, and experience in project management. Ultimately, the role of the SAP functional specialist is to ensure that our SAP solutions are effective, efficient, and aligned with our business processes.\nWhat We’ll Need You to Do\nWe’ll need you to:\nProcess Effectiveness \nLink business process challenges and demand to process improvements and business benefits to influence and inform solutions to support the solution and technology strategies.\nDesign and deployment \nEnsure and validate consistent design and deployment of a given process and the standards for process performance.\nSupport compliance with and performance of the end-to-end process.\nSupport Integrated Testing\nWork with business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented and tested as designed.\nMaintain Functional and Business Process Design Oversight \nStay involved through programme delivery into live operations to make sure solutions stay on track and meet expectations.\nImprove Functional and Business Process Design \nSuggest improvement opportunities and optimise business processes\nCollaborate Across Teams \nBuild strong working relationships with business process leads, super users, other functional specialists, project managers, business analysts, architects and third party partners to support smooth delivery.\nFunctional specialist within Project Systems \nWhat You’ll Bring\nUnderstand business processes and business requirements identifying opportunities for improvements. \nUnderstand functional solution configuration. \nUnderstand end to end processes across business, functional and solution domains. \nTranslate business requirements into IT demand aligning with programme plans and roadmap. \nAnalyse process flows and process execution to identify improvement opportunities. \nEnsure designed and ‘to-be’ processes align with business needs whilst adhering to best practices. \nExtensive knowledge of system modules relevant to the job role, including functional configuration, end to end processes and system integration capabilities. \nProblem solving and analytical mindset to identify root causes of issues, troubleshoot problems, and identify solutions to address business challenges. \nProvide ongoing support to business community, troubleshooting issues, and identify improvements to optimise process performance and usability. \nSupport super and end user knowledge and capability development acting as the initial point of contact (L1 support) for process & procedure queries or issues for business end users once in BAU. \nSupport and collaborate with the Testing Lead and business teams to conduct rigorous testing to ensure alignment with business requirements to validate the functionality and integrity of system solutions. \nExperience & Qualifications\nSAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) \nOracle Primavera P6 \nProject cost control \nResource and schedule management \nExperience in implementation and/or support of SAP Project System (PS) \nExperience in integrating project planning with Oracle Primavera P6 schedules \nManaging project structures, WBS elements, budgets, costs and reporting \nSupporting capital projects, engineering, construction, or infrastructure programmes \nEnsuring alignment between project progress and financial performance \nProven track record of working with business stakeholders to improve projects processes \nMinimum 4 years of experience (must have) \nSAP S/4HANA awareness and end-to-end business process understanding. \nStrong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills. \nKnowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches. \nUnderstanding of implementation, incident and change management, testing and deployment activities. \nAbility to mentor. \nTraining\nSAP Project Systems (PS) \nSAP S/4HANA Project Management \nOracle Primavera P6 Professional \nProject Cost Management \nEarned Value Management (EVM) \n\nCertifications\nSAP Certified Associate - SAP Project Systems \nOracle Primavera P6 Professional Certification \nPRINCE2 Practitioner \nPMP (Project Management Professional) \nAPM PMQ (UK) \nMSP \n\nDesirable\nExperience working in large-scale ERP transformation programmes. \nExperience in Greenfield implementations. \nSAP Activate methodology experience. \nITIL Foundation certification. \nAgile Practitioner, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification. \n\nWhat’s in It for You\nWe anticipate paying a salary of between £53,700 -
