Working as part of this high-profile engineering programme, you will play a key role in the integration, verification and validation of complex systems, bringing together software, FPGA and hardware components.\nAs a Software/Hardware Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for validating complex sub-systems and ensuring the timely delivery and quality of the artefacts associated with system integration, verification and validation. You will work closely with a range of engineering teams to support the successful delivery of robust and effective solutions.\nWhat you will be doing:\nDevelop test documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports and automated test scripts.\nDevelop test equipment solutions and conduct Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level testing across a range of functionality and environmental tests.\nDevelop automated testing procedures for FPGA designs and support detailed integration testing against DOORS requirements.\nConduct failure investigations and root cause analysis, applying structured problem-solving techniques.\nEnsure adherence to change control, configuration management and established development processes, demonstrating solution correctness and traceability to design requirements.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cost and timescales while improving quality.\nSupport process and technical audits, product design reviews and verification activities.\nLiaise closely with software, systems, hardware, programmable hardware (FPGA) and safety teams to deliver integrated solutions.\nWho we’re looking for:\nQualified to degree level, In Software or Electronics Engineering, or related discipline,\nExperience with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) \nExperienced in integrating complex electronic products, fault finding and diagnosis.\nExperienced in one of digital electronics design and verification, programmable logic device design and verification, software design and verification or real-time systems, and awareness of the others.\nSelf-motivated and enthusiastic to become familiar with new techniques and tools,\nAwareness of safety-critical development constraints (e.g. IEC62566).\nExperienced in timing analysis.\nRegional Benefits:\nGenerousAnnual Leave\nGroup Income Protection provides an income in the event that you are unable to work due to illness or injury\nGroup Life Assurance provides for a lump sum benefit if you die whilst employed by Rolls-Royce\nDigital GP provides a convenient way for you to access GP consultations\n Employee Assistance (EAP) and Live Well programmes\nPlease be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.\nThe professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.\nIt is advised that you inform your current manager of your application for this role.\nTo work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
