As part of NauitIQ Solutions team, they will be working closely with other engineering disciplines to design Integrated Platform Management Systems and Equipment for marine applications.\nWhat you will be doing:\nYou will be responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements; you will:\nReview and agree high level automation requirements including their testability.\nAnalyse and translate high level requirements into a validated design for automation components.\nCapture applicable design constraints and quality attributes that apply to the component.\nInterface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers, and partners.\nDesign and implement automation designs to meet the high-level requirements and design constraints/standards.\nAllocate automation requirements to test vehicles defined in the verification plan.\nCreate an appropriate Enterprise Architecture solution which serves both business and technical needs.\nDevelops, implements, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, associated guidelines, tools, and training as required.\nCreation of documents e.g. Functional Design Specification (FDS), Control and Monitoring Description (CMD), Test Specifications and Operator/Maintenance Manuals.\nExperience in implementing System Safety e.g. FMEA, FMECA, Risk Analysis, etc.\nLiaises with other disciplines to understand functional performance capabilities of components of the system to facilitate effective component design.\nSet the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for an Engineering Programme through the Configuration Management Plan.\nClarification and Definition of serial communication interfaces between the Rolls-Royce Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) and 3rd party systems.\nExperience in PLC application software design and understand programming languages such as C/C++, Structured Text (ST), etc. and must be open to learn the WINMON language.\nExperience in Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design\nPosition Qualifications:\nBe qualified to Degree level in electrical engineering or similar disciplines or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence and industry experience.\nAt least 3 years or more professional experience in electrical engineering, designing automation systems and the management of projects / programs of increasing complexity.\nSignificant domain knowledge and experience of naval or marine automation and control systems.\nHas experience in all stages of a project lifecycle and has been responsible for the delivery of one or more of those stages.\nBe able to work dynamically and respond to evolving objectives and emerging opportunities while working in coordination with a multidisciplinary, energetic team of engineers.\nPreferred requirements:\nKnowledge and experience of delivering systems complying with naval and marine standards, specifications and safety standards.\nGood time management skills able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.\nPossess of good communication, presentation, and influencing skills.\nPower Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
