In all areas, these roles involve working with a range of key business stakeholders to support the delivery of key program milestones, enabling the delivery of our Defence strategy for the next 50 years.\nAs a Systems Engineering & Verification Engineer - Specialist, you will plan, coordinate, and execute key technical activities for the AE 1107F engine program in support of the US Army MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). As part of this role, you will be expected to interface across a number of stakeholders both internally and externally to extract and understand technical requirements to develop potential solutions which can be used to serve business and customer needs. As part of this team, you will explore and deploy Systems Engineering practices within the company to assist in the understanding of potential business and technical architectures and solutions.\nWhat you will be doing:\nLead Systems Engineering activities across the entire Engine development life-cycle.\nFacilitate the elicitation, maturation, and validation of stakeholder requirements including customer, business, and technical to ensure robust problem and solution space understanding.\nDevelop the System Engineering strategy for the project and ensure this is reflected in the project governance and project master schedule.\nEstablish and maintain an appropriate information structure for the project (Customer, Business, System, Sub-System, and Component) and develop/maintain associated management plans.\nWork with the System Design team to ensure product requirements are understood and requirement trades are defined. Understand repercussions of potential system definition against the wider system/business.\nEnsure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain, and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in project plan), and escalation of risks in accordance with risk management plan.\nDevelop and manage engine verification, certification, and qualification plans, strategies, and compliance statements.\nLeverage Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo (MBSE) and DOORS, on agreed programs.\nProvide project management support to various work packages, effectively managing scope, cost, and schedule.\nRepresent Rolls-Royce as required on specific customer and partner working groups related to the project.\nNavigate ambiguous situations, make informed decisions and recommendations with limited data, and rapidly assess complex technical issues in unfamiliar subject areas.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; OR\nMaster’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant engineering experience; OR\nPhD in Engineering.\nMust be a US citizen.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSystems Engineering or Development Engineering experience.\nExperience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) program.\nExperience with US Department of Defense (DoD) programs and DoD customer interfacing experience.\nExperience with Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo and DOORS.\nDemonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on an extended, multifunctional Engineering project team.\nDemonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.\nExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Microsoft Project.\nGas turbine engine installation, verification, and performance experience.\nExcellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.\nKnowledge of commercial engine certification/military engine qualification.\nOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
