This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship Rolls-Royce programs and play a vital role in solving some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in the industry while being part of a global team.\nAs a Test Instrumentation Engineer - Technical Specialist you will be responsible for instrumentation design, program management, oversight of sensor application, sensor development and measurement technology ownership. This is a dynamic hands-on role with direct interface with the instrumentation lab, assembly floor and engine test teams.\nWhat you will be doing:\nTo establish a test instrumentation plan within program requirements for sensor implementation on component, subsystem, and whole engine testing\nTo communicate test instrumentation progress and plans to business programs as required\nTo own the test instrumentation design, development, process for application, measurement technology and test data collection troubleshooting as required\nTo assist with test article assembly and test stand installation processes for proper instrumentation routing and signal identification\nWrite department procedures as necessary to improve efficiency and capture lessons learned, as well as help train and develop less experienced engineers\nTrain and mentor others in instrumentation, special measurement equipment and other specialist areas\nDemonstrate expert understanding of instrumentation and special measurement equipment\nInfluence internal and external stakeholders to develop effective solutions\nDefine and implement best practices in instrumentation across the organization\nSolve complex and unique measurement challenges to drive product validation\nMay travel for off-site instrumentation and test support and represent the company while working with the customer\nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related business field with 5+ years of experience in technical roles OR;\nMaster’s degree in Engineering or related business field with 3+ years of experience in technical roles OR;\nPhD in Engineering or related business field\nIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship\nPreferred Requirements:\nTechnical expertise with Instrumentation (i.e. pressure, strain, temperature)\nMechanical design experience using computer aided tools such as NX\nEngineering testing experience in gas turbine systems\nExperience interfacing with customers on technical program issues\nDemonstrated project planning and management experience\nExcellent interpersonal and communications skills including technical writing and presentations\nOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
