In this senior-level role, you'll own the employee relations function while leading enterprise-wide performance management initiatives. You'll work closely with executive leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into people-focused initiatives that enhance team performance and engagement.\nPeople Partner Key Responsibilities\nFunctional Partnership\nPartner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives\nProvide strategic counsel to executives on organizational effectiveness and people-related decisions\nLead talent review processes and succession planning initiatives across the organization\nDrive workforce planning initiatives and organizational design discussions\nServe as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex people matters\nPerformance & Development\nOwn and lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of performance management frameworks that drive high performance across the organization\nDevelop and roll out leadership development programs and manager effectiveness initiatives\nLead calibration sessions and performance review cycles, ensuring consistency and fairness\nCreate and implement career pathing frameworks and growth opportunities within functions and org units\nDesign and facilitate performance coaching programs for managers and leaders\nAnalyze performance data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and intervention\nEmployee Relations & Engagement\nOwn the employee relations function, serving as the primary point of escalation for complex and sensitive ER issues\nInvestigate and resolve workplace concerns, complaints, and conflicts with sound judgment and discretion\nDevelop and implement ER policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and fairness\nPartner with legal counsel on employment-related matters as needed\nLead engagement initiatives and action planning within business units\nDrive DEI initiatives and foster an inclusive workplace culture\nQualifications\n8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior HRBP or strategic partner role that includes people management\nProven experience owning and managing employee relations programs and complex ER cases\nDemonstrated expertise in designing and implementing performance management systems and frameworks\nStrong business acumen and ability to link people strategies to business outcomes\nExtensive experience partnering with senior leadership and executives on organizational development initiatives\nTrack record of successful change management and transformation projects\nStrong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and reporting\nExperience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments preferred\nExcellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism\nWhile we are a remote first company, if you are based in San Francisco this will be a hybrid role. \nPlease see below for compensation ranges based on our geographical tiering system recommended by external benchmark data (with example cities listed).\nNote: We’ve recently been made aware of a job scam where scammers are posing as Roo employees and conducting fake text interviews.
