We are looking for Enthusiastic, Driven, Outside of the Box Thinkers to help us grow our business.\nJob Description\nRole: Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst\nJob Summary\nAs a Business Partner to our Operations teams, the Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) is critical in delivering accurate, timely and relevant financial information to assist the business in making correct decisions. Managing multiple sites, the SFA collaborates with Finance leadership and colleagues, General, District and Branch Managers to drive process and performance improvements at the operational level.\nRoofmart’s National Support Centre in Brampton, ON is the hub that provides share service support to multiple branches and legal entities across Canada. As part of the National Support Centre, this role is one of several Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Accountants working jointly to provide financial support to our branches. The role reports to the Finance Manager.\nBenefits\nHealth Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA)\nInsurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\nLong-term Disability\nShort-term Disability\nRRSP Match\nPaid Vacation\nFloating Days\nEmployee Assistance Program\nEmployee Engagement Events\nAwards and Recognition\nTuition reimbursement\nService Awards\nEmployee Perks & Discounts\nJob Responsibilities\nFinancial oversight of multiple branches, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial records and information at each site\nPrepare weekly and ad hoc operational reports for review with leadership\nMonitor and review operational processes, providing feedback and guidance to operations teams with varying degrees of financial acumen\nConduct analysis as appropriate to assist operational management in better understanding their results and provide insight into improved decision making\nPrepare monthly, quarter end and annual financial statements for sites and legal entity\nConduct monthly reviews of financial results with operational and financial leadership\nIdentify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency across all locations\nLead the annual business planning process for the branches under the SFA’s responsibility\nProvide accounting guidance as needed, knowing when to consult with management to identify potential concerns\nCollaborate with colleagues to ensure constant knowledge sharing and consistency among sites\nWork closely with Financial Accountants to ensure areas under their responsibility are seamlessly integrated into operational results\nSupport year end audits and tax filings\nQualifications\nUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline\nChartered Professional Accountant (CPA), designation obtained or imminent\nProven experience at a minimum 3-4 years of full cycle accounting\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nStrong problem solving skills\nExcellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)\nUnderstanding of data analysis and forecasting\nAccounting for retail operations an asset\nAccuracy and attention to detail\nExperience with end to end financial close processes\nExperience working with ERP systems (Prophet 21, MS Dynamics an asset)\nAdvanced MS Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLookups)\nAuthority\nRequire adherence to accounting and company policies\nReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures\nEnsure compliance with accounting principles\nPerformance Measure\nDelivery of timely, accurate financial and operational statements\nIdentification of continuous process improvements\nidentifying the need and providing financial analyses as needed (e.g. Gross Margin, Pricing)\nAbility to collaborate and work effectively as part of team with common goals\nAbility to work effectively and appropriately with different management levels, both mid-level (Branch Manager) and senior leadership (General Manager)\nSalary: 95.000 - 105.000/year\n***this is a replacement***\nBenefits of Employment: Roofmart recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
