Our team is a passionate mix of engineers across electrical, firmware, software, and machine learning.\nAbout the role\nWe're looking for an Electrical Engineer to own the design of electronic hardware from concept through prototype and into production. You will work alongside our cofounder / CTO who earned 7 patents for electronics. The Electrical Engineer will develop product requirements into schematics, circuits, and manufacturable boards, and oversee each through verification and test. This role is best suited for a skilled engineer who wants to move fast and help pioneer the field of electronics in the age of AI.\nKey responsibilities\nDrive schematic capture and lead PCB layout including component selection, footprints, and BOM management.\n\nDevelop and perform circuit simulation and analysis (e.g. SPICE), covering power, signal integrity, timing, and thermal considerations.\n\nDesign power supplies, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.), and microcontroller/processor subsystems.\n\nBring up and debug prototypes in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.\n\nCollaborate with firmware, mechanical, verification, and test engineers throughout the development cycle.\n\nPrepare design documentation, review packages, and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction efforts.\n\nSupport compliance activities (EMC/EMI, safety, regulatory) as designs mature.\n\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor's degree in EE or equivalent experience.\n\n3+ years of hands-on electronic circuit and PCB design experience.\n\nProficiency with a schematic / PCB design tool (e.g. Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).\n\nSolid grounding in analog and digital fundamentals, power electronics, and high-speed design concepts.\n\nComfortable debugging hardware at the bench with standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc).\n\nPreferred qualifications\nMaster's in Electrical Engineering\n\nProficiency using Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Icepak and CST is a plus.\n\nExperience taking products through the full lifecycle to volume production.\n\nFamiliarity with signal-integrity and power-integrity analysis tools.\n\nScripting ability (e.g. Python) for design automation or data analysis.\n\nExposure to EMC/regulatory compliance testing.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2425,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-12T07:41:41Z"}],"liveness":{"score":15,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.434,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":56,"expected_fill_days":26,"reasons":["conf:0","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/rootaccess-electrical-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/rootaccess-electrical-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-03T01:20:24Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1272,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3728,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-04T00:00:00Z"}}}
