We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYour Next Opportunity:\nAs our Assistant Corporate Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in upholding Rosendin's financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making across our nationwide operations. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and sound accounting practices that empower our project teams and reflect our commitment to employee ownership. Your expertise will directly contribute to the sustainable growth and success of one of the nation's largest electrical contractors.\nWhat You'll Do:\nOversee critical aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.\nPrepare and review consolidated financial statements and accompanying disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nDevelop, implement, and monitor robust internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.\nCoordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to independent auditors.\nProvide technical accounting guidance and research complex accounting issues to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations.\nLead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality output and adherence to best practices.\nAnalyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to senior leadership regarding operational results and financial health.\nCollaborate with various departments, including Operations, HR, and IT, to optimize financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities.\nAssist in the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans, aligning with corporate objectives.\nWhat You'll Need to Be Successful:\nDeep understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), especially within the construction industry.\nProficiency with enterprise-level financial management systems (e.g., Workday) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.\nProven ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with an aptitude for identifying and resolving complex financial issues.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.\nDemonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, develop, and manage a team effectively in a dynamic environment.\nA meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in all financial processes and reporting.\nWhat You Bring to Us:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nMinimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the construction or related industry, or equivalent experience.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) licensure strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing complex accounting cycles for a large organization.\nExperience working with large-scale ERP systems and financial reporting tools is essential.\nTravel:\nWorking Conditions:\nPrimarily works in a professional office environment; may occasionally visit project sites or other corporate offices as needed for collaboration.\nRequires prolonged periods of sitting, computer usage, and repetitive motions.\nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.\nUtilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.\nAdheres to all company safety policies and procedures in both office and occasional field environments.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
