We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYour Next Opportunity:\nThe Assistant Corporate Operational Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for Rosendin's nationwide electrical construction operations. This senior manager position provides critical oversight and analytical support for operational accounting functions, directly contributing to our financial health and the sustained success we share as an employee-owned company. You will help manage and develop a team, driving financial excellence across various project lifecycles and providing actionable insights to leadership.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDirect and oversee the accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for designated operational segments, including revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, and project profitability analysis.\nManage the preparation and review of financial statements, operational reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insightful analysis to the Corporate Operational Controller and other stakeholders.\nEnsure robust internal control frameworks and departmental policies related to operational accounting are adhered to, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing process improvements.\nCollaborate closely with Operations Managers and Project Teams to review project forecasts, assess financial risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making for complex electrical infrastructure projects.\nSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of operational accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional growth.\nLead special projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational accounting processes, leveraging financial technologies, and driving efficiency gains across the organization.\nParticipate in the development and refinement of enterprise-level over/under billing strategies and cash flow forecasting methodologies.\nProvide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, ensuring consistent adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies throughout all operational financial activities.\nWhat You'll Need to Be Successful:\nProficiency with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel modeling for complex financial analysis and reporting.\nDeep understanding of GAAP, specifically ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), and accounting principles unique to the construction industry.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive leadership.\nExceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of mentoring a team, collaborating effectively cross-functionally, and presenting financial information clearly to diverse audiences.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet stringent deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.\nHigh degree of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial reporting and data handling.\nWhat You Bring to Us:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.\nCPA designation is strongly preferred.\n8+ years of progressive experience in operational or corporate accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.\nDemonstrated experience within the construction industry, particularly with an electrical contractor or general contractor, is highly desirable.\nProven experience with Workday Financials or a similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is preferred.\nTravel:\nUp to 15% for site visits, regional office support, or professional development.\nWorking Conditions:\nPrimarily an office-based role; occasional visits to project sites or regional offices may be required to support operational understanding.\nWork is generally performed in a professional office environment, with typical noise levels for a collaborative workspace.\nRequires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer keyboard and mouse, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.\nMay involve occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRosendin is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status.\nYOU Matter - Our Benefits\nESOP - Employee Stock Ownership\n401 K\nAnnual bonus program based upon performance, profitability, and achievement\n17 PTO days per year plus 10 paid holidays\n3 days of paid sick leave each year\n3 days of paid Bereavement leave each year\n3 days of paid Jury Duty\nMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance\nBonding Leave\nTerm Life, AD&D Insurance, and Voluntary Life Insurance\nDisability Income Protection Insurance\nPre-tax Flexible Spending Plans (Health and Dependent Care)\nCharitable Giving Match with our Rosendin Foundation\nOur success is rooted in our people.
