We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nThe Engineer III is a senior engineering position responsible for providing technical engineering information and assistance to ensure compliance with the project requirements and all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications. This is a senior engineering role with developed subject matter expertise and the capability to mentor and train other staff.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nOversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.\n\nMay be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.\n\nSupervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals.\n\nSupervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.\n\nOversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.\n\nOversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.\n\nSupervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies.\n\nSupervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations.\n\nOversee the project specifications or equipment buy-out.\n\nVisit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions.\n\nSupervise or Utilize engineering analysis programs and professional judgment to analyze loads, lighting levels, and short circuit currents.\n\nConduct value engineering exercises to evaluate the cost of construction.\n\nAttend project design team meetings and interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer.\n\nWork closely with the Rosendin Project Manager to coordinate the design criteria with budgetary issues and deliverables schedule on the projects they are assigned.\n\nResearch and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors during project installation.\n\nGenerate project specifications appropriate for the project.\n\nDevelop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems.\n\nWorking knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning.\n\nPerform work involving the application of conventional aspects of electrical engineering related to the design of high-tech, mission-critical health industry, commercial, industrial, high-rise residential, and other facilities.\n\nReview plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.\n\nSupervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with the city, state, county officials, and other outside agencies.\n\nOversee plans and specifications, establish schedules, and coordinate electrical engineering work.\n\nPrepare documentation for the commissioning of a building.\n\nResolve various complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, technical issue resolution).\n\nThe duties and responsibilities describe this position's general nature and scope of work. This is a partial listing, and other responsibilities will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences\n\nTypically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience\n\nOne-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged\n\nLicensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required\n\nCan be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nAdvanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, applicable codes, standards, etc., is required to design state-of-the-art constructible projects.\n\nProficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illumination software, and Oracle software pertaining to Engineering Productivity and CAC generation.\n\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary\n\nAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude\n\nEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the position\n\nAbility to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player\n\nAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others\n\nTRAVEL:\nUp to 50% (Does not include local field visits)\n\nWORKINGCONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
