We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nThe Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for engineering projects for which they are assigned. This technical management role is responsible for financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership of projects and has the capability to mentor and train staff under their supervision.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nPossess the ability to understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested.\nPrepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources.\nOversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work.\nAbility to communicate with Project Manager (PM) or Executive regarding effort required to accomplish an expected deliverables and project support.This may include developing requests for additional services for submittal to the PM or Owner.\nLead the Engineering CAC effort and interaction with the project PM.\nAble to resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).\nSupervise the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other regulatory agencies\nAttendance at project design meetings with the overall Design Build Team.\nJob Site Visits to review installation or assess current conditions.\nPerform Value Engineering studies.\nAct as Engineer of Record for projects within their responsibility.\nThe duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of. This is a partial listing and other responsibilities will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.\nTypically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience\nRegistration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position.- Preferred, but not required\nField experience is strongly recommended.\nEducation and experience can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.\nCOMPETENCIES:\nLeadership - Ability to lead a diverse team of people to accomplish a goal.\nCommunication - Fluency of communication in oral and written formats.\nTeamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group to deliver an extraordinary result.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nKnowledge of engineering processes and calculations including load calculations, equipment layout, normal and emergency standby distribution, HV/MV distribution, lighting layout, lighting calculations, power and lighting controls, utility coordination, grounding, value engineering, applicable codes, and standards, is required.\nWorking knowledge of equipment and system testing and commissioning.\nThe ability to assume responsibility, interface, and coordinate with others.\nThe ability to analyze and resolve complex engineering problems.\nThe ability to oversee Electrical System Studies such as: Short Circuit, Overcurrent Protection, Arc Flash, Voltage Drop/Droop, and Underground Thermal Calculations.\nManagement skills are required, including work planning, resource management, fee development, staff oversight, staff development and advancement planning.\nKnowledge of electrical construction sufficient to understand how design packages will be built.\nFluency with Building Codes and Local Codes in the local area of projects.\nProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary\nAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude\nEffective oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.\nAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, Trade Partners and others\nTRAVEL:\nup to 25% (Does not include local field visits)\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
