We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nAs a key member of Rosendin’s Environmental team, the preconstruction lead position is responsible for providing technical, compliance, and permitting oversite, risk analysis, and regulatory reviews. This technical management role is responsible for resource allocation, logistic, and technical leadership within the Environmental Department and has the capabilities to mentor and train staff under their supervision.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nPrepare and oversee risk review and analysis of Owner provided documents.\n\nWork with other departments to collect necessary information to inform preconstruction design constraints.\n\nAssist Preconstruction stakeholders with interpretation and verification of project requirements.\n\nUtilize publicly available site data using GIS or similar, for information not identified by the Owner to identify potential risk areas within the project site boundaries.\n\nIdentify potential impacts, hazards, and mitigation risks of projects during scoping and development.\n\nConduct risk analysis and mitigation for environmental hazards, regulatory changes, and permitting delays.\n\nRepresent the Environmental team in implementation of risk avoidance or mitigation efforts.\n\nDistill risk analysis and project requirements into a Site-Specific Memo or equivalent for use during bidding and construction.\n\nProvide preconstruction support including articulating and communicating RFIs to Business Development for submittal to the Owner.\n\nReview Rosendin requirements for compliance with Owner plans and permits and conduct or supervise determination of Rosendin regulatory requirements as an EPC Contractor. Ensure these requirements are accurately represented in contract exhibits.\n\nEnsure owner provided documents align with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.\n\nMonitor emerging environmental issues and trends to guide organizational strategy.\n\nSupport generation of preconstruction drawings and engineering related permitting efforts and regulatory documentation including but not limited to encroachment, road use, County and State compliance, etc.\n\nRepresent Rosendin Environmental Team by attending and/or coordinating meetings with internal teams, Owners, and Subcontractors to update and advise on potential risks and prospective countermeasures.\n\nEngage cross-functionally with a variety of individual contributors and teams to develop an end-to-end risk management approach.\n\nSupport Project teams during regulatory audits and advise on findings, or violations, collect evidence, and present solutions to the Project Team for implementation.\n\nProvide mentorship to staff.\n\nAssist, as needed, in construction administration activities such as review of project submittals and response to RFI’s.\n\nWork as part of the engineering and construction team requiring cross disciplinary communication and coordination.\n\nConduct site visits, as needed, to view existing sites and ongoing construction of PV, Substation and BESS systems.\n\nWork with other Rosendin stakeholders to improve internal processes and procedures to build a more efficient and effective team.\n\nThe duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. Other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nProficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)\n\nExperience with GIS and AutoCAD a plus.\n\nProficient with environmental permitting software and/or other utility and public works location databases.\n\nAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.\n\nDetail-oriented, curious, resourceful and proactive.\n\nEffective oral and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.\n\nAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Land Development, Environmental Sciences, or other similar discipline.\n\n7+ years of experience preferred\n\nExtensive experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and conducting audits\n\nIn-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.\n\nTechnical writing experience.\n\nGeneral understanding of site engineering/land development engineering and design such as: site planning, development, and post construction monitoring requirements.\n\nDeep understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling related to permits and regulatory processes.\n\nProficient with renewable energies or related permitting requirements and regulations across a wide array of local, state and federal agencies.\n\nExperience identifying risk to cost and schedule for renewable energy related projects.\n\nExperience avoiding or mitigating common risks associated with large-scale development projects.\n\nField and sustainability experience a plus.\n\nTRAVEL:\nUp to 20%\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
