We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nField Payroll Specialist 1 supports payroll processing activities for assigned field payrolls while learning payroll systems, regulations, and company procedures. This role focuses on accurate execution of standard payroll tasks under close guidance and supervision.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nAssist with processing payroll and time records for assigned payrolls.\n\nReview basic time entries for accuracy and completeness.\n\nAssist with employees and payroll documentation for new hires, rehires, and terminations.\n\nSupport processing of payroll deductions and benefits setup as directed.\n\nRespond to routine employee payroll questions and escalate complex issues.\n\nMaintain accurate payroll records in accordance with company policies.\n\nFollow payroll procedures, deadlines, and compliance requirements.\n\nIdentify and implement resolutions for basic payroll inquiries and issues.\n\nAudit time records from various locations, make needed adjustments, and ensure compliance.\n\nReview per diems to determine their taxability and setup correctly on payroll.\n\nReview employees’ pay rates for compliance with union contracts and labor laws.\n\nAssist employees with collective bargaining agreement-related questions.\n\nEnter updates to employee information in required systems.\n\nMonitor and resolve basic tickets submitted by admins and employees.\n\nEnsure new hires, rehires, and terminated employees’ documents updated correctly.\n\nMaintain and save updated employees’ documents properly and timely.\n\nAssist with making sure all employees are setup correctly in payroll and other applications.\n\nBe able to back up any member of the team when necessary.\n\nThe duties and responsibilities are to describe the general nature and scope of work this position performs. This is not a complete listing; other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nBasic understanding of payroll and timekeeping concepts.\n\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.\n\nAbility to follow documented procedures and instructions.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).\n\nAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\n0 to 2 years of payroll, timekeeping, human resources, or administrative experience.\n\nExposure to payroll systems preferred.\n\nTRAVEL:\nUp to 10%\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
