It is a field-based position and leads the implementation or Project Safety Plans, and oversight of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices. Responsibilities include plan development and implementation, hazard identification, incident investigation, safety training, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. The position also involves mentoring junior team members and collaborating with field leadership, subcontractors, and customers to maintain a safe and productive work environment. May act as a team lead for Non-Exempt safety employees.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nIdentify, document, and recommend corrective actions for hazardous conditions; ensure timely resolution.\n\nParticipate in pre-construction meetings and development of site-specific safety plans.\n\nDeliver safety training based on program and personnel needs.\n\nLead injury and incident investigations; conduct analysis and share lessons learned.\n\nSupport pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.\n\nCollaborate with subcontractors to ensure understanding and compliance with safety standards.\n\nCoordinate with field leadership to identify training needs and high-risk activities.\n\nEnsure compliance with LOTO procedures and first-time energization protocols.\n\nReview Step-by-Steps and Method of Procedures (MOPs).\n\nIssue and monitor permits as required.\n\nInterpret project one-line diagrams.\n\nApply NFPA 70E guidelines, including PPE and approach distances.\n\nMaintain advanced knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and goals.\n\nPromote a safe and productive environment by reinforcing and demonstrating HSE standards across projects.\n\nLead and mentor junior safety team members.\n\nCompile and analyze safety data; prepare reports in compliance with regulations.\n\nAssist with emergency planning as needed.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred\n\nProfessional verbal and written communication skills\n\nProfessional interpersonal and customer service skills\n\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nExpert understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and supporting administrative practices.\n\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines\n\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nDemonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary\n\nWork under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude\n\nSelf-motivated, proactive and an effective team player\n\nEffective coaching abilities.\n\nInteract effectively and professionally with all levels of employees within regional business unit, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\n4-year related degree and 4 years related experience plus CHST certification or 7 years relevant experience and CHST.\n\nAbility to spend 80% of working time in active construction sites.\n\nTRAVEL:\nUp to 100%\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
