We'd love to have you as a shareholder!\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nThe Payroll Accountant is responsible making sure that all payroll entries are reconciled to the G/L, and that tax files are accurate and compliant. This position will help also help with audits, unclaimed property, workers comp review, and some processing payroll activities.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nReview and reconcile all payroll tax filings and payments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. \nSupport year-end payroll activities including supporting audits and reviewing W-2s. \nSupport month-end close activities related to payroll deliverables. \nReconciles the general ledger and subsidiary accounts. \nMake sure all accrued payroll entries and that cost are captured correctly. \nWork with other departments to make sure all payroll deliverables are on time and accurate. \nRespond to questions and inquiries related to general ledger, payroll taxes, workers comp, and other payroll related questions. \nHelp review unclaimed property related to payroll and ensure compliance with state laws. \nSupport regular payroll processing activities and ensure accuracy. \nPrepare correspondence, documentation, other materials needed for audits. \nThe duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit. \nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas) \nProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) \nExperience with Oracle Fusion a plus. \nDetail-oriented and solid time management skills \nEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the position \nAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others \nBe able to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude \n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline. \nExperience with reconciling general ledger accounts. \nThree or more years of experience with processing payroll and/or accounting activities for a company in multi-states. \nCan be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience \nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
