We are the largest EMPLOYEE-OWNED company in the industry which means you will be a company owner too and have the unique benefit of being a shareholder at a company that is experiencing tremendous growth and success which means you benefit tremendously.\nYOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:\nThe Senior Estimator is responsible forpreparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimatesforelectricalconstructionprojects.TheSeniorEstimatoristheLeadEstimatorforprojectsand works with other Estimators, suppliers,and customers to complete the estimate.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nPrepareestimatefromquantitytake-offonprojectandcompleteestimatetocomputerprintout.\n\nIdentifypartsofprojectthatmaybekeytomakingacompetitiveestimate.\n\nReviewproposalspecifications,drawings,andattendpre-bidmeetingstodeterminescopeofwork and requiredcontents of estimate.\n\nEvaluateareasforpotentialvalueengineeringcostsavings.\n\nProvideleadershiptopersonnelpreparingdisciplinesubestimatesforassignedbids.\n\nEnsureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-upestimatefigures.\n\nDeveloplaborproductivityand(installationunitcostswhere applicable)basedonprojectedsite conditions and historical data.\n\nPreparedetailedlistingofmaterialandequipmentitemsfortheestimateandtoobtainquotes.\n\nIdentifyqualifiedsuppliers/subcontractorsandberesponsibleforsolicitingquotes.Reviewquotesfor completeness and conformance with plans and specs.\n\nResponsibleforthetimelycompletionofallclient-requireddocuments.\n\nDraftscope/proposallettersforbidandnegotiatedprojects.\n\nPriortotheissuingoftheformalbidpackage,providetheChiefEstimator withadetailedreviewof scope, technical requirements,and pricing for the estimated bid package.\n\nAfter the successful bid atproject turnover, meet with the Project Management departments to fullyexplainjobscope,potentialareasofattentionandotheraspectsforthesuccessfultransitionof the project.\n\nMaintainfilesofallworkingdocumentstoback-upestimatefiguresandupdatetheRosendin approved estimating program.\n\nThedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position’s role within the business unit.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nReadandinterpretblueprintsand/orengineeringdesigndrawings\n\nPerformarithmeticcalculationsrequiredforestimating\n\nEstimatealltypesofprojectsandtocoordinateandsupervisegroupworkeffortessential\n\nMentorandassistwiththedevelopmentofEstimators\n\nIdentifyandmeetcustomers’needs,expectations,andrequirements\n\nProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(,Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.)\n\nPrioritizeandmanagemultipletasksandchangeprioritiesasnecessary\n\nWorkunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositiveattitude\n\nOralandwrittencommunicationskillsasrequiredfortheposition\n\nSelf-motivated,proactiveandaneffectiveteamplayer\n\nInteracteffectivelyandprofessionallywithalllevelsofemployees,bothmanagementand staff alike, vendors, clients, and others\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’sdegreeinConstructionManagement,Engineering,orarelatedfield\n\nMinimum4years’estimatingorotherrelevantexperienceinclosingconstructionsestimates\n\nExperienceinAccubidestimatingsoftware,LivecountCloud,andBluebeam softwarepreferred\n\nExperienceinCADor3Dsoftwarepreferred\n\nCanbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevantexperience\n\nTRAVEL:\nUpto10%\n\nWORKINGCONDITIONS:\nGeneralworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending.
