You will lead and manage a team of project managers, and assistant project managers to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The position proactively develops new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field.\n\nEffectively supervise a staff in the day to day administration of a job or supervise two or more Project Managers in their daily tasks.\n\nTrain and effectively supervise Project Managers in the company philosophy and systems\n\nNegotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project\n\nMaintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.\n\nTrain and effectively supervise a Project Assistant in the maintenance of project required tracking devices.\n\nMaintain liaison with prime client and A/E to facilitate construction activities.\n\nMonitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budgets\n\nInvestigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision\n\nRepresent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.\n\nPrepare monthly costing reports\n\nManage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client\n\nThe duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. You know what it takes to get the job done and done right for your customer and the company.\n\nA strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and how these systems work.\n\nA fanatical determination about planning, innovating, and improving the processes we use every day.\n\nAbility to think outside the box and lead the team in driving innovative construction techniques and prefabrication strategies.\n\nPossess strong leadership skills, business acumen, and integrity.\n\nA strong understanding of the financials of a project and how to forecast.\n\nAbility to create and foster great relationships with the field and understand what it takes to get the best out of your people.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve mutual outcomes.\n\nWe are counting on you to bring and foster a collaborative spirit to our work process.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO US:\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline preferred.\n\nPE license a plus\n\nMinimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction. Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods required.\n\nCan be a combination of education, training and relevant experience\n\nProven experience mentoring and managing others.\n\nBusiness development/heavy client interaction a plus.\n\nAbility to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures;\n\nAbility to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance\n\nExtensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedure\n\nProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle and Accubid preferred\n\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary\n\nAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude\n\nEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the position\n\nAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player\n\nAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others\n\nTRAVEL:\n10-25%\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nGeneral work environment - Due to the variety of work to be performed, the Sr. Project Manager may be working at a job site or in the office. This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
