The successful candidate will be responsible for improving network availability, troubleshooting complex connectivity issues, automating routine network operations, and minimizing service disruptions.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong networking fundamentals, experience with network monitoring and incident management, and the ability to collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure consistent network performance and reliability.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.\nMonitor network health, latency, throughput, packet loss, and overall service reliability.\nIdentify, investigate, and resolve network outages, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues.\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.\nDevelop and maintain network automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and reduce manual errors.\nManage network devices and technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.\nEstablish and maintain network reliability metrics, service-level objectives (SLOs), and service-level agreements (SLAs).\nImplement network redundancy, failover, disaster recovery, and capacity-planning strategies.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce network security policies and protect infrastructure.\nMaintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures.\nSupport cloud networking environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.\nRecommend infrastructure improvements based on monitoring data, performance trends, and recurring incidents.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nThree or more years of experience in network engineering, network operations, site reliability engineering, or a related technical role.\nStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.\nExperience with network monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting tools.\nFamiliarity with Linux systems, scripting, and network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.\nUnderstanding of high-availability architectures, redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.\nExperience with incident management, root cause analysis, and change management.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRelevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP, Juniper JNCIA or JNCIS, or equivalent networking credentials.\nExperience with cloud networking, software-defined networking (SDN), or infrastructure as code.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, SolarWinds, or Wireshark.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.\nExperience working in high-availability enterprise, telecommunications, data center, or cloud environments.\nFamiliarity with SRE practices, error budgets, reliability engineering, and automated incident response.\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually for a full-time role in the United States.
