It's a great time to join us and make an impact in shaping the future of our business.\n Based in Brisbane, this role has national responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) across Australia and New Zealand, supporting multiple sites and business areas.\nAs HSE Lead (ANZ), you will operate with Manager-level accountability, partnering with Country and Functional Leaders to drive compliance, manage risk and embed consistent HSE practices across the region.\nThis role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, translating business priorities into practical HSE plans, while building leadership capability and accountability for safe and sustainable operations.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nProvide clear HSE leadership and direction to ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand legislation, regulatory requirements, and Rotork standards\nDevelop, implement and continuously improve HSE frameworks and management systems aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 (as guiding standards)\nTranslate organisational priorities into practical, fit-for-purpose HSE plans that support operational delivery while effectively managing risk\nLead serious incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions\nOversee risk management processes, including risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards\nBuild leadership capability through coaching, training, and practical support, reinforcing clear accountability for HSE outcomes\nMonitor HSE performance across ANZ, providing insights, trends and reporting to support leadership decision-making and governance requirements\nPartner with APAC and global HSE stakeholders to drive alignment and deliver consistent “One Rotork” outcomes Provide oversight and guidance on contractor management, high-risk work controls and critical risk standardsWhat you’ll bring\n\nExperience & capability\n5+ years’ experience in a senior HSE role, with responsibility across multi-site operations within Australia (and ideally New Zealand)\nStrong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory frameworks (NZ experience advantageous)\nDemonstrated experience operating independently with end-to-end accountability, including influencing senior stakeholders\nExperience implementing and maintaining HSE management systems aligned to ISO standards (45001 / 14001)\nCapability to translate strategy into clear, practical actions that deliver operational outcomes\nLeadership & working style\nBuilds strong, credible relationships with leaders and acts as a trusted advisor\nDrives accountability, not just support - comfortable holding leaders to HSE expectations\nPragmatic and solutions-focused, balancing risk management with operational realities\nComfortable managing competing priorities across geographically dispersed teams\nLeads through influence, coaching and clear direction rather than reliance on formal authority\nWhy join Rotork\nNational leadership role with influence across diverse operations in ANZ\nOpportunity to shape and embed HSE capability and culture during a period of transformation\nWork within a global organisation with strong technical capability and purpose-led direction\nA role that combines strategic impact with visible, operational delivery\n Relevant qualification in Health, Safety or Environmental Management (or equivalent experience)\nNEBOSH Diploma, Australian WHS qualifications or equivalent preferred\n There’s never been a more exciting time to be part of Rotork.
