This position is located in Livonia, MI.\nJob Summary:\nThe Controls Engineer II will work alongside other Electronics and Controls Engineers to develop control systems for internal Roush projects and external customers in various industries. The role will develop, modify, or create control systems through the deployment of hardware and/or software. This position is located in Livonia, MI.\nAs a Controls Engineer II, you will:\nCapture and document customer system/hardware/software requirements\nSpecify, design and develop control system electronics hardware, sensors, and actuators\nDesign and develop system wiring, including wiring schematics, conductor, connector and terminal selection\nDesign, develop, and verify software and control algorithms to meet requirements\nDevelop system plant models for control system development\nPerform data analysis and system control tuning/calibration\nPerform system testing and troubleshooting, ensuring a control system meets requirements\nEffectively interface with co-workers and customers in meetings\nTo be considered a Controls Engineer II, you will need :Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science\nMust be a US citizen or US lawful permanent resident allowing for ITAR compliance \nMinimum 2 years of post-graduate working experience in controls (automotive or military vehicle level preferred)\nExperience with at least one of the following software languages: MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, C, or C++\nAbility to read, understand and create electrical schematics, and a good understanding of electrical and electronics basics\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write concise technical reports\nInitiative to work independently and handle several assignments simultaneously\nAble to manage time to ensure projects are completed bydeadline\nAbility to independently absorb new technical assignments\nMust be willing to support limited travel\n A successful candidate may also have:Experience in embedded systems application and its testing\nExperience with more than one of the following software languages: MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, C, C++, or Python\nExperience with PLC (Allen Bradly, Siemens, etc.) controls and industrial automation\nExperience with CANbus, Serial, and Ethernet
