The position will also be responsible for maintaining a healthy and secure Active Directory environment, including connecting workstations to the company network and monitoring the network for any potential issues. This position is located in Livonia and is onsite Monday through Friday.\nAs an IT Server Administrator II, you will:\nBuild, maintain and support both physical and virtual servers.\nValidate corporate backups are executed weekly and assures they are restorable. Troubleshoot issues as necessary.\nDevelop and implement server maintenance standards and operating procedures.\nManage, maintain, diagnose, and repair hardware and software within the server environments.\nMaintain a healthy and secure Active Directory environment.\nBe responsible for updating documentation of the server environment, policies, and standards.\nImplement approved corporate security policies and procedures, escalate issues and/or compromises to management.\n To be considered as an IT Server Administrator II, you will need:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience with greenfield setup, configuration and support of the latest two Microsoft Windows server and LINUX operating systems.\nU.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for ITAR or CMMC compliance.\nAbility to create scripts (VBScript, PowerShell, Perl, PHP, and/or Python)\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN and WAN to troubleshoot and address server issues.\nKnowledge of firewalls, proxy, and databases.\nExperience with tape, snapshot, and cloud backup solutions.\nExperience as a technical resource and participant in system and network projects.\nGood oral and written communicator.\nExperience working with different cross functional teams.\nAbility to effectively multitask.\n A successful candidate may also have:Experience with managing a corporate backup solution.\nExperience with capacity planning and performance monitoring techniques and tools.\nWorking knowledge of network performance monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds or Nagios.\nFamiliar with LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) concepts and configurations such as routing, VPN (Virtual Private Network), and cabling.\nAbility to work overtime as needed including weekends.\nOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.\nIf you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.\nPlease visit our careers page and apply by clicking on this link: https://jobs.roush.com/us/en /\nVisit our website: www.roush.com\nLike us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/RoushCareers\nRoush is an EO employer -
