The role will improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space\nrequirements, and fixture development. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will develop and improve\nmanufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching and improving existing prints,\ndesigning, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, as well as other\nmanufacturing responsibilities. The Manufacturing Engineer Senior will serve as the subject matter\nexpert (SME), able to train and lead a team of engineers within a complex program.\nAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:\nProvide manufacturing feasibility assessments for capacity requirements, product design,engineering changes, scope changes and quality concerns\n\nDevelop process flow and line layout requirements\nDevelop and implement effective work Instruction\nDefine capital equipment and tooling required and maintain adherence to the budget of theprogram\n\nProject manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment & tooling\nProject Manage the ME requirements of the Product Development and Launch Processes\nFacilitate the implementation of production equipment and tooling into the manufacturingfacility and any corresponding technical training\n\nAssess the product, process, equipment and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concernsand manage action items to resolve\n\nProvide coaching and assistance to entry level mechanical engineers while acting as a SME andprovide training and guidance\n\nLead special projects and/or continuous improvement activities\nTo be considered as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will need:\nMust qualify as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to accommodate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance (Defense)\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, emphasis in manufacturing, weldingand or assembly processes\n\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in a production-based environment\nGood driving record.\n Knowledge of production weldment fixtures, low volume production manufacturing andassembly\n\nAbility to conduct time studies and workflow analysis\nKnowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 processes and procedures\nProficient with MS Office with the specific ability to create project plans\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment, be detail oriented, work independently andexecute plans while providing leadership to the team\n\nA successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer may also have:\nExperience with automotive, aviation or defense industries\nExperience in advanced manufacturing (robotics, moderate volume automation, programmablelogic controllers (PLC Controls)\n\nExperience leading a team in complex programs\nKnowledge of code welding terms\nKnowledge of APQP process\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices\nOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, paid vacation, paid holidays.\nVisit our website: www.roush.com\nLike us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/RoushCareers\nRoush is an EO employer -
