You will work at the heart of the AIDA Program - driving awareness, engagement and behavioural change so that colleagues across Royal IHC make the most of new AI-driven ways of working.\nYour job\nAs an intern Communication & Change Management you take ownership of the communication and adoption activities of the AIDA Program. You translate complex topics like AI, data and automation into clear, engaging stories for different audiences within Royal IHC - from yard to boardroom.\nYour responsibilities include:\nDesigning and executing the communication plan for the AIDA Program (intranet, newsletters, town halls, internal campaigns, video content).\nSupporting change management activities for AI, data and automation initiatives: stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, training and awareness sessions.\nMeasuring adoption and engagement, gathering feedback from the business and translating insights into improvements.\nBuilding and maintaining a community of AIDA ambassadors across the company.\nBringing fresh ideas on how to position AI in a traditional industry - and executing your own improvement plan.\nAs an intern you get a lot of responsibility and freedom to take ownership of communication and change activities. On the other hand, you get the chance to learn from an experienced team of AI, data and business professionals. You will work directly with the Program Lead AI, Data & Automation and collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders and IT colleagues. You get the chance to work with people from different cultures, learn about Dredging, Mining and Offshore as well as the inner workings of a large-scale AI program.\nYour profile\nTo coordinate communication and change activities for the AIDA Program, you need to be a strong communicator, structured planner and curious team player.\nTo be eligible for this position you must have:\nHBO or University education (3rd or 4th year) in Communication, Strategic Management, AI, Business IT, Change Management, Innovation Management or a related field of study.\nAffinity with AI and other digital technologies.\nA structured way of working and strong coordination and planning skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and stakeholder management.\nCreativity and storytelling capability - written, visual and verbal.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.\nWe offer\nA internship allowance of €652,50 based on a fulltime workweek.\nA challenging graduation or research internship (5-6 months) at the heart of Royal IHC's AI journey.\nA workplace at our headquarters in Kinderdijk, starting September 2026.\nDirect mentoring by the Program Lead AI, Data & Automation and exposure to senior leadership.\nA great team, lunch on Wednesdays, and a real walk along a UNESCO World Heritage site between meetings.\nTeam AIDA\nRoyal IHC aims to play a leading role in making the maritime industry more sustainable and efficient.
