They issue the Aircraft Certificate of Release to Service accordingly. The Certified Staff (C/S) must be able to determine when an aircraft is ready for release to service and when it should not be released.\nRelease the aircraft to service after the satisfactory completion of maintenance.\nGuide and support mechanics during the performance of maintenance tasks.\nSupervise maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations (repairs or modifications) performed by mechanics under their supervision, to the extent necessary to ensure proper execution.\nUse methods, techniques, and practices prescribed in the current manufacturer’s maintenance manual or the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, or other methods acceptable to the authority.\nUse tools, equipment, and test apparatus necessary to ensure the work is completed in accordance with accepted industry practices.
