R&P supports several different ship classes and types at various Navy installations around the United States coastal areas. This position will involve assisting in the installation of electrical cabling, building and testing of various electrical connectors, Installation of hardware and troubleshooting malfunctions in several different electrical and electronic systems. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must be willing to learn different kinds of electrical devices and systems. Prior shipboard experience is preferred, but not required.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the execution of electrical installations for many different electrical and electronic systems such as lighting, MC systems, 115V/440V electrical plant equipment, Uninterrupted Power Supply equipment, Audio/Video equipment, Antenna systems and various others\nInstall electrical cabinets, fixtures and equipment for various electrical systems\nInstall safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)\nConnect wiring in electrical circuits and networks using various MIL-SPEC connectors and connection boxes\nPull in cables of various lengths and sizes to accommodate system connections\nWork shipboard availabilities with a various teams.\nQualifications\nGood critical thinking and problem-solving ability\nAbility to lift 50 pounds on your own\nWillingness to travel to various locations in support of ship maintenance availabilities\nFlexibility with regards to scheduling and planned support due to constant Navy movement\nThorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines\nAbility to obtain and maintain Security Clearance and base access credentials\nMust be able to work in confined spaces\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nMust be reliable and able to work Monday - Friday 40hrs and be flexible to work weekends if required\nEEO Statement\nR&P Technologies provides equal opportunity for all persons and prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), veteran or marital status, or any other factor prohibited by law.
