The underwriter will contribute to portfolio growth and profitability by balancing sound underwriting practices with strong broker relationships and business development initiatives. Candidates across Ontario are invited to apply!\nKey Responsibilities\nUnderwrite and manage renewals in accordance with the guidelines and authorities established under various binder agreements for both internal markets and external partners.\nIdentify, develop, and underwrite new business opportunities in accordance with established underwriting guidelines, whether through internal markets, external contracts, or wholesale distribution channels.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective brokers through regular meetings, marketing visits, and business development activities.\nServe as a key liaison between brokers and insurers, negotiating coverage terms, conditions, and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.\nRepresent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence and develop new business relationships.\nApply sound underwriting judgment to assess risk quality, support profitable portfolio growth, and ensure compliance with established underwriting guidelines.\nQualifications & Skills\nMinimum of three years of experience in the insurance industry, including at least one year of experience in Errors & Omissions (E&O) or professional liability underwriting.\nA Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, an insurance diploma, or progress toward either qualification is considered an asset.\nProficiency in using various software applications and technology tools, with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.\nStrong negotiation and relationship management skills.\nDemonstrates autonomy, initiative, and resourcefulness.\nExcellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of responsibilities.\nStrong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.\nAn entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive approach to business
